By the end of this session, participants will be able to:
- Describe the neurobiological mechanisms involved in the trauma response (e.g., HPA axis, limbic system, vagal tone).
- Identify how early trauma (ACEs) influences brain development and risk for mental health disorders and substance use.
- Explain the link between trauma, attachment disruptions, and behavioral health outcomes across the lifespan.
- Apply key trauma-informed principles to clinical or educational settings for more effective interventions and support.
