Informational Presentation (25-30 mins):
This presentation introduces The Children’s Center for Hope and Healing, who we are, and how we support children and families impacted by sexual abuse. Attendees will learn key statistics that highlight the scope of the issue and walk away with five practical tips to help keep children safe.
Pathfinder Presentation (25-30 mins):
This presentation highlights Project Pathfinder and the role of The Children’s Center for Hope and Healing in responding to problematic sexual behavior in youth. Attendees will gain an understanding of how to identify concerning behaviors, associated risk factors, and what research shows about recidivism. Most importantly, the presentation reinforces that youth can learn healthy behaviors and thrive when appropriate interventions and supports are in place.
Courage to Care (2 hours):
Courage to Care is a 2- hour training that is designed for all youth-serving adults- whether you work with children, professionally, volunteer in your community or care for children in your personal life. This training gives you tools to actively prevent child sexual abuse and exploitation by learning to recognize early warning signs, put strong protective boundaries in place, foster healthy relationships, and talk with children about their bodies, boundaries and consent. Cost:$20 pp, $350 for up to 35 attendees, and $500 for 36-50 attendees. This training also offers CEU's to LPCs and LCSWs in Georgia, as well as POST credits for law enforcement, and Bright from the Start credits.
